about ola dajani

Ola Dajani’s work is a dynamic exploration of the present moment with recurring themes of connectedness and isolation and the seemingly indefinite state of oscillation between feelings of total control and overwhelm.

Ola believes that image making must connect to the present moment and must convey the characteristics of such moment. Whilst exploring the present, Ola adopts an artistic approach that is process-driven with fearless investigation of materials as her point of departure, allowing for creative revelations to unfold unrestrainedly. Ola is particularly fascinated by the aesthetics of colour, shape and texture and how these elements interact in image making and she primarily uses intaglio printmaking techniques to realise her work.

Born in Amman, Jordan, Ola lived in Dubai and Montreal before moving to England in 2020. Ola studied illustration and graduated with distinction from Camberwell College of Arts (UAL) in 2022. Prior to studying at UAL she worked for almost 10 years with textile and embroidery.
